Remembering Captain Richard Coleman, I.R.A.

While we reflect on Forógra na Poblachta, I wanted to pay tribute to Captain Richard Coleman, I.R.A. of Swords, Co. Dublin who fought for the freedom of Ireland from Éirí Amach na Cásca until his death.


"While imprisoned in Usk prison he, with many others, contracted the terrible flu virus of 1918. The 'flu' turned to pneumonia and he was left in his cell until the crisis, when he was removed to hospital where he died the following day."
